Bassam HUSAIN

Dr Bassam Husain qualified as an osteopath DO from the Osteopathic College of Provence (College ostéopathique de Provence) in France. He was born in London and moved to France when he was 5 years old with his Iraqi parents. Bassam has enjoyed sports since childhood, playing sports at a high level. As a young adult he was treated for sport related injuries by an osteopath. It was this experience that inspired Bassam to study osteopathy. He has been living and working in Dubai since 2010.

Bassam implemented unique ancestral and very modern techniques to treat patients, identifying key points in the body  to treat patients. He is trained in all areas of osteopathy and has worked in hospitals, clinics and was the osteopath of several sport clubs in France. He has continued to further his skills by completing postgraduate courses in visceral, obstetrics, pediatrics and cranial osteopathy.

His treatments incorporate gentle manipulation and mobilization of joints, soft tissue massage, nerve relief techniques, cranial osteopathy, ante natal and post natal care, and post-surgical rehabilitation. He focus on finding and treating the root cause of the problem. His main areas of expertise are: chronic/acute back and neck pain, all musculoskeletal and neurological symptoms caused by joint and disc dysfunctions, headaches, migraines, facial pain, sleep disorder, some forms of vertigo, jaw problems, TMJ dysfunction (temporo-mandibular joint and occlusion), digestive disorders (constipation, diarrhea, bloating, heartburn, nausea), pregnancy related pains and pelvic floor issues. He also treats babies with torticolis, difficulties breastfeeding, digestion problems such as reflux, colic, constipation and diarrhea as well as those who cry excessively, have difficulties sleeping or have head deformities from birth.

Rachel ERNST

Rachel Ernst is a French Physiotherapist who graduated in Belgium, from Parnasse ISEI school with a master’s degree in 2018. After graduating Rachel returned to France to gain various experiences in both private practice and hospital settings in various physiotherapy fields.

Rachel takes a holistic approach to treating patients, using manual therapy techniques and active management with muscles strengthening and mobility work to help patients achieve their goals.

Her specialties are women’s health such as pre and post-partum rehabilitation, pelvic dysfunction and urinary incontinence, respiratory care/rehabilitation including acute and chronic respiratory disease, bronchitis, asthma, post-COVID, cystic fibrosis and COPD, neurological conditions and also musculoskeletal injuries, such as back pain, shoulder dysfunctions, scoliosis, sprains/fractures and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Rachel has a keen interest in respiratory care and has a post-graduate diploma in respiratory rehabilitation, which she obtained in 2022. She participated in scientific research and published her final dissertation in a journal.  

Rachel is a keen runner, surfer and loves hiking. She’s now part of a French rugby team in Dubai, les « Crunchettes » and loves taking care of her team during sport events. 

Rachel's commitment to excellence and continued professional development has led her to pursue additional training and certifications throughout her career. She is certified in several specialized techniques and approaches, including manual therapy and postural rehabilitation. Now based in Dubai, Rachel is excited to bring her expertise and experience to a new community of patients. She is passionate about providing personalized and evidence-based care, and works closely with each of her patients to develop customized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals. She can speak fluently English and French.

Zarmeena GULL

With over a decade of dedicated experience, Zarmeena is a structural osteopath that is high in demand. She brings a unique blend of expertise, empathy and contagious personality to her practice. Born in Pakistan and raised in London from the age of ten, Zarmeena's journey in healthcare began with a BSc Hons. in Medical Biology, followed by a Paramedic course at King's College, London. Her path took a transformative turn towards osteopathy following her mother’s accident, leading her to graduate from the world-renowned British School of Osteopathy (now University College of Osteopathy) in 2014.

Utilizing a diverse array of techniques including cupping, rock-blading, and acupuncture to facilitate the body's natural healing processes.

As a mother of three, Zarmeena's personal experiences with varying pregnancies have deepened her focus on pregnancy care, gynecology, and women's health. Joseph MAYNARD

Sports Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Running Related Injury Specialist

Joseph graduated from a top ranked University in the United Kingdom in 2006, following which he started his career working as specialist MSK physiotherapist in the National Health Service (UK). Throughout this time Joseph has worked alongside some of the leading UK surgeons in the field of sports injury, including:- foot and ankle and upper limb specialties.

Alongside this vast career, Joseph has worked with numerous elite sports men and women, spanning across various sports, including athletics, swimming, golf, horse racing, football and rugby. He prides himself on putting himself in the patient’s shoes, by understanding the demands of sports and fitness and the effects they may have on day to day life.

Joseph’s connection with sport and rehabilitation is very personal; he has represented his country in both swimming and athletics and has competed at an international level for over 15 years. Now, Joseph puts himself on the start line alongside his clients, competing in triathlons and road races around the UAE and GCC.
His favorite element of his work is “simplifying the non-simple”, and getting to the root cause of dysfunction and pain, through the assessment of the clients fundamental movement patterns.
